Oceanus the Inland Reef...
...is a non-profit, educational organization. Our mission is to educate the community on the diverse ecosystem of the tropical coral reef and our direct impact on its future.
On display at our facility we maintain over 20 tanks (nearly 1500 gallons of salt water species). These tanks are dedicated to the propagation of corals, breeding and raising of Banggai cardinalfish, seahorses and clownfish as well as showcasing other marine species critical in maintaining a balanced captive reef system.

Educational exploration within the facility is aimed at establishing successful protocols for sustainable captive breeding and growth of marine species and inspiring students to pursue the sciences. We hope to minimize the impact of the reef-keeping hobby on wild reefs and awaken the quest for learning in us all.
We offer programs at our facility and also take our show on the road. Programs are appropriately tailored to the age group and utilize a multimedia approach including video, live animals, lecture and a hands-on activity. If you are looking for a unique program for a club, scouts, family, birthday group or classroom presentation, contact us for details.
